"Taming the Beast" is a small project I'm trying to per-fect. I just get these weird little story ideas in my head and I have trouble deciding to write it or draw it...so I feel like both. Below is a short narrative of the pic. Two more parts coming...maybe a whole story one day...Tell me what u think.
-------Taming the Beast: the Dilemma----------
"Eric's howls deafen her ears as she weeped silently in the corner, not willing to watch her best friends horrific transformation. She sat helplessly, wishing it was just a nightmare, she would wake up and Eric would be standing over her, scratching between her ears while in her own Were state jokingly, his sleepy grin brightening her day. But that smile was washed away, replaced with wild snarls of monster taking control, slowly destorying what was once a innocent human man."
"If only she had saved him in time; knew that the Darkwolf was stalking them that night. With her senses it should have been obvious something was a miss that night, the timid creatures of the night not singing their songs. The smell of something fowl hung in the air. She could sense it, and yet being with Eric, his stale yet bareable jokes keeping her amused and safe from the fear around her, numbed those senses. It was too late by the time she could see the red eyes within the shadows, staring longingly for its feast. It attacked and they ran, not before it took a bite out of Eric's legs. She was forced to transform that night into her Werefox form to batter the Darkwolf away. Strangely, Eric never showed a sign of fear or disgust once he stood face to face with her in her Were form, but his acceptance couldn't parch the sorrow she had for him, knowing his curse, his disaster."
"The story of Werewolves had been exaggerated since the early ages of man. Though it was true that some men were cursed to transform into an animal beyond his will, others were born with it, or accepted it as a gift. The many Were's the roam the earth are not as blood-thristy and violent as the horror movies and books have made them out to be. Many retain an normal human conscious while adapting to their animal instincts and behaviors as well. Some may loose their conscious altogether and be nothing but an animal, but that's it. However, in rare occasious, if a Were had become tainted by evil; by the darkness, they would be nothing more than he real fabrications of men's belief...Monsters. The Darkwolf, a Werewolf tainted by the darkness, was a example. And if a human was cursed by a tainted creature...they were doomed to become one themselves. For Eric, the wolf inside him would crave the blood and flesh of anything it chooses, rampage and chaos is all that it will wish."
"Poor Emma now must watch over him, using what little knowledge of magic that was passed down to her to keep Eric at bay. In the corner she weeps, changing with Eric, her Wereside a slight comfort. She weeps because she has been told that was no hope for those cusred as a Darkwolf, that the only relief that can be given is a silent or nasty death by silver. But there mus be something she can do....there must be something...."
