Irena - The Fox Shifter

had a small character contest going on for her webcomic "Outcast" and I couldn't help but put in my own character (in hopes that it may possible gain a cameo or such) >^.^< ! This is just one of the few ideas I had.

Character: Irena (Latin for Peace)
Shifter: Orange Fox
Age: 19
Gang: technically none
Friends: Iris (White Tiger shifter) (info later)

Irena is brought up high society by her adoptive rich family. She's not a spoil brat since Irena parents were one of the few people to actually give back to the communtity and help out the poor. Irena was born with a sense of innocences and good spirit, atuned with nature, and everyone who passed by her or met her was left with a vibrate warmth and a spot of goodness in their hearts. Irena; to what many remembered her by before she disappeared, was considered an angel.
The good family times ended roughly though around her eighteenth birthday when a shifter mark appeared on her back and began to develop ears and a tail similar to a fox. It was feared by her parents that they knew she was a shifter, but chanced it the day their eyes met the sweet greens of her as a baby. Irena knew a few things about shifters growing up and had for some time began to think she was one herself. She was fine with it, and even seemed perpared for the terrible day her adpotive family could no longer support her. Before she was cast away, the last cherrished gift her parents bestowed to her was a silver cross with the inscription "Indemnis", latin for "innocence". The second item was a locket baring the same mark as Irena's Shifter mark. It had a worn shadowed picture of a couple. They thought it could be her real parents. They kept it from her for so long from fear she might try and seek them out. Now they hoped that Irena could meet them one day.
Irena has not be out alone in the slums and outskirts of the city. Only days after casted out, she was befriended by a White Tiger shifter named Iris (more info later). They became good friends, even though Iris is a bet radical and extreme sometimes. But they protect each other if needed. Iris gave Irena the small chain she wears beside her skirt for extra protect. Irena technically opposes violence.
Irena only shifts into her fox form when she is able to escape the concrete jungle of the city and into the forest, or when she defends herself. Human or Fox, she continues to wear the cross her adoptive parents gave her and the locket belonging to her real parents.
